About Mirror Images
Mirror Images Ltd. was founded by President and CEO Nicholas Gyeney in 2006 as an independent film production company that was conceived alongside its first feature film, "The Falling." This first production was an ultra low-budget supernatural drama that premiered in December of 2006. After quickly securing a distribution deal for the film, Gyeney and Mirror Images began developing several new and exciting projects. The dreams are big for Mirror Images, with plans of releasing a wide variety of new films in the coming years. By utilizing talented actors, artists, and industry professionals, Mirror Images can maximize the quality and creativity of each project, effectively bringing Hollywood production value to an independent setting. In 2010, Mirror Images premiered its first theatrically released film, the critically acclaimed sci-fi drama, "The Penitent Man", starring Lance Henriksen and Andrew Keegan. With coming productions like the action/thriller, "The Riot", and the romantic comedy, "Ex-Patriot", Gyeney and Mirror Images are quickly reaching new heights with each creative endeavor.
Our Investors
In pursuit of bringing each exciting new project to life, Mirror Images knows that no film is possible without the help and support of excited investors. Gyeney's company is always searching for new investors to bring into their family circle, to become an instrumental voice in bringing their visions to the screen. Investing in Mirror Images' films is one of the smartest film investments a financier can make. Unlike many independent films in the market, each project at Mirror Images is carefully constructed to maximize the potential for not only creative success, but financial return as well. There are a slew of projects waiting for financing in Mirror Images' pipeline, but current projects are also looking for additional support to ensure the greatest quality and financial success. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Mirror Images team, please contact Nicholas Gyeney or David Ranney.
Nicholas Gyeney
Nicholas was born in Seattle, Washington to Hungarian parents on July 15th, 1986. Since childhood, Nicholas has avidly immersed himself in the world of motion pictures. Each year, his love for film grows deeper as his knowledge of both historic and current movies grows more prolific. However, his adoration for the movies would never have burgeoned so intensely without the indelible influence of his father, Örs Gyeney. Every weekend, Örs would sit down with Nicholas to show him new films like Star Wars, The Terminator series, and Indiana Jones. Sadly, the tradition ended in 1998 when Nicholas' father died tragically. Fueled by his loss, Nicholas started diving deeper into movies than ever before and soon discovered his calling as a filmmaker.Throughout high school, Nicholas completed numerous short films. Most continued on to win best picture and best director awards from his school's film department. At the age of 17, Nicholas wrote and directed his first feature-length student film, "Dark Dreams". He submitted the film to the University of Southern California in hopes of being accepted into their prestigious film program. To his surprise and elation, he was not only accepted but granted a full-ride scholarship.
At the age of 20, Nicholas embarked upon a monumental undertaking. He began work on his first professional independent film, "The Falling", while continuing his studies at the USC Film School. The film premiered in Seattle on December 21, 2006 to a crowd of 600 people who gathered to witness the local filmmaker’s artistic achievements.
At the age of 23, with USC now behind him and after three years developing and sharpening his abilities as a filmmaker, Nicholas wrote, produced, and directed his 2nd feature and first theatrically released film, “The Penitent Man”, which has already given Nicholas endless acclaim and praise for his talents.
As Mirror Images continues to grow, Nicholas embarks on a mission to create bigger and better films at every turn.
